Clear Policies. Better Visits.
We Got You, Austin — With Guidelines That Keep Things Running SmoothlyAt Parker Animal Care, our policies are designed to support a safe, respectful, and efficient experience for everyone — pets, clients, and staff alike. These guidelines help us stay on time, minimize stress, and make sure every visit runs as smoothly as possible.
They’re built from experience and shaped around what works best for the pets and people we serve every day.
Appointment Policy
Although Parker Animal Care can accommodate immediate and serious health crises without an appointment, we do ask that for routine wellness visits, or any other non-emergency situation, appointments be made in advance.
Please call us at 512-448-2676 to coordinate an appointment time that works for your schedule or book online.
If your pet is in need of emergency care, we ask that you still attempt to call us before you arrive to our facility so we can prepare for immediate service, even if this means calling on your way out the door.
Deposits
- Tech Appointments - $18. This pays for your tech appointment fee. If owner brings additional pet, the second pet is $9.
- DVM Appointments - $81.00. This pays for your DVM examination of your pet.
48-hour Cancellation Policy
Our patients and clients are very important to us. The time we have allotted for your appointment is exclusive so we ask that you please provide us with 48-hour notice if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment. This allows our veterinarians to manage their time accordingly and may allow us time to accommodate patients on our waiting list.
In order to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can call us or email us at: info@parkeranimalcare.com, if it is outside our office hours.
Patient Arrival Policy
For the safety and comfort of all clients and patients, we require that all pets be either leashed or crated while in the waiting room. No matter how well-trained or well-behaved, we find that this policy is in the best interest of all parties involved.
If you suspect your pet may have an infectious disease that could spread to other animals, such as kennel cough, please let us know in advance so we can make special arrangements. Calling us beforehand or upon arrival, prior to entering the building, is helpful to our staff as they can then plan appropriately.
Payment Policy
We accept cash, debit cards, all major credit cards, and CareCredit®. Our policy is that all payments must be made in full at the time services are rendered. We are happy to provide cost estimates in advance to help you to plan for the expense.
In addition, please note that many pet insurance providers operate on a reimbursement model, so even if you do have pet insurance, it is best to assume you will still be providing the full payment on the day of the appointment. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider for specific policies.
