Jessica
Practice Manager
Our in-house bookworm and Practice Manager, Jessica is one of the most essential people in the place. As if being a Senior Veterinary Medic wasn’t hard enough, she has the responsibility of hiring and training all new medics. But it definitely does not end there, she also helps, supports and guides the staff as a whole, is the inventory guru, all general medic duties and the most excellent patient care. As soon as she earned her Associate’s Degree she jumped right into the vet world and has been working hard for over a decade. From a kennel tech to her current boss lady role, she is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate people in the hospital. She fell in love with emergency animal medicine very quickly, she says “I could not see myself doing anything else. The relationships I get to build with the patients are priceless”.
At home, Jessica has two dachshund, “Sadie” and ''Willow". As aforementioned, Jessica is an avid reader that devours one book right after the other. She is a great mom who values spending time with her family and watching her sons grow into little men. Her mom skills come in handy at the hospital too.
Vanessa
Communications Manager
Vanessa is way more than just a good head of hair, she is Parker Animal Care's very own Communications Manager, and she has been working her way up to big dog status with Parker Animal Care since 2007. As Communications Manager, Vanessa wears many hats. When she isn’t creating and sharing social media posts, working on website pop-ups, or guiding our media efforts, Vanessa is training and teaching new Veterinary Assistants. Under her guidance, V.As have thrived, become more confident employees, and even moved up in the chain to become Veterinary Medics. In addition, Vanessa also works tirelessly to make sure the interior of the hospital is clean and functional for our clients and staff.
The total love for animals is a lifestyle and if you ask Vanessa how many pets she has, her response is, "We have 2… Actually 4… 5… 6, we definitely have 6 animals. My husband just says it's too many". Her family consists of 1 husband Damian, 2 children, a pitbull named "Cash", 1 senior cat named "Lux", and a younger kitty named "Leeloo." With so much to do at work and all that love waiting for her at home, it is only natural that her favorite things to do are hang out with her family, listen to vinyl, and paint at her house on her free time. Enjoy that relax time, Vane, you deserve it!
Janice
Technician Supervisor
Janice obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 2012. She has professional interests in ophthalmology, intensive care, and large animal medicine.
As an Austin native, one of Janice’s favorite parts about working at Parker Animal Care is forming positive relationships with clients and their pets. She also enjoys working on tricky cases, and seeing a patient’s condition improve and knowing she helped him or her to regain their health and happiness. To her, this is the most rewarding experience of all.
Janice shares a home with her three children, along with Lulu, a senior Chihuahua, and a Cane Corso named Dax. A few of Janice’s favorite things include dancing, listening to music, and the Red Golden Retriever breed. If you’re in town and looking for good Mexican food and even better margaritas, Janice highly recommends visiting Jardin Corona. You won’t be disappointed!

Hey I’m AJ! Im a Central Texas Native that lives with my Fiancé and 4 pets! From rescuing wildlife and other critters as a child to caring for some of Austin’s greatest pets, animals have always been a huge part of my life! Outside of work, I enjoy creating art, playing video games, collecting Pokémon, and spending time with friends outside on the weekend!
Callie
Technician
Callie has worked in the veterinary field since 2017 and is excited to serve as a Veterinary Technician. Her experience in veterinary medicine and wildlife rehabilitation has given her a love of all animals, big and small.
She grew up in McKinney, Texas, and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2023 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology and Zoology. She now lives in Austin, Texas, with her two dogs, Wallace and Harper, and two cats, Oliver and Skippy. In her free time, she loves to golf, bird- watch, and collect Pokemon cards.
Cecilia
Tech Assistant
Cecelia was inspired to establish a career in veterinary medicine due to her deep love for nurturing animals and passion for the biomedical sciences. Cecelia is originally from a tiny town in Utopia, TX, where she grew up on a ranch caring for & raising horses, cattle, goats, sheep, cats, & dogs! She moved to Austin in 2015, and is a proud Longhorn & graduate from the University of Texas. She currently lives with her soulmate kitty, Jolene, and loves spending time with her horses B.B. and Winchester. In her free time, Cecelia's hobbies include modeling, hunting, wildlife advocacy via Texas Parks & Wildlife, cross-country running, playing volleyball, riding horses, volunteering at Austin Animal Center, college football, & spending time with loved ones.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work in veterinary medicine for the last four years, and I look forward to many more years in the field. I’m glad to continue my journey as a Veterinary Assistant and develop my skills.
I always knew I wanted to work with animals; growing up, there was no other option. I was destined to be a cat freak! I am originally from Clarkesville, Tennessee, but I’ve lived in the Austin area since 2009 and have been blessed with my cat, Margie, and my dog, Majestic, who pretty much run my life.

Hi, I’m Sergio. I studied Business Administration with a focus in Computer Information Systems, and I’m really interested in how tech and business work together to create smart solutions. Outside the office, I’m usually out on a trail, camping, or at a concert. I share most of my adventures with my partner and our dog, Opal—she’s the real boss of the house. I believe in working hard, staying curious, and making time for the things that keep life fun.

Hi! I'm Lauren and I recently made the move to Austin with my partner and our rescue tabby, Oliver. He’s an opinionated cat with a lot to say, mostly about whatever is happening in the kitchen. I've always had a passion for helping people and animals and knew that I wanted to work in the veterinary field since I was a kid. I love creating new connections with people and their pets. Cooking and baking are my thing as I love to experiment with new recipes and share my creations with anyone that is willing to try. Outside of my time in the clinic I'm usually out exploring the city, trying new restaurants, hiking, or playing video games.
